Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic - A History Making Event
A very special event is taking place this summer in NYC.
It is The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic. It will take place on Governors Island on Sat, 31 May and will be the first time Polo will be played in NYC for over 70 years.
Ralph Lauren is sponsoring the team called Blackwatch which includes Nacho Figueras who is the face of Polo Black and the best polo player in the world. He is a young, sporting superstar who is playing against Asprey’s team.
There will be a delicious Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar which will be open field-side during the event. Picnics are allowed around the field so get a special hamper put together and get to the field by 3pm when the match starts.
The event is open to the public and there are free ferries that run from Manhattan to Gov Island every 30 mins. It’s a perfect chance to become a worldly person and learn a little bit about polo and enjoy the game and champagne at its finest.
