Ferrari Sells its 999th Car in China
Legendary car maker Ferrari celebrated its 999th car sold in China by holding its largest exhibition ever in the country.
Fifteen of Ferrari’s luxury sports cars were on show at the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai.
The models on display ranged from classics like the Spider and Modena, to limited editions like the Enzo Ferrari which has a top speed of 350 km/h of which only 400 were ever built.
Other cars include the 430 Scuderia and the GTB599 Fiorano. All are aimed squarely at China’s growing affluent market, in particular the younger generation like Johnson Zhang who owns the 999th Ferrari sold in China and who spent about $590,000 on his 458 Italian.
Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa is aiming to sell 600 cars in the next two or three years.
